Brother entered the UK market in 1959. After the acquisition of the Jones Sewing Machine Company (one of the oldest manufacturer of sewing machines) in 1968 the headquarters moved to Manchester.
Today the Manchester office serves as HQ for the whole of Europe.
Brother is the number 1 fax manufacturer both in the UK and worldwide. They produced their first high-speed printer in 1971. Brother’s popular multifunction products use individual Brother ink cartridges which is both economical and friendly for the environment. Brother distributes their products both under their own name and under OEM agreements with other companies. |
